Israel N. Kochin M.D. received his specialty training at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Prior to this fellowship training in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Mount Sinai, he completed an internship and residency in pediatrics after graduating from theAlbert Einstein College of Medicine in 1999.

Dr. Kochin is an author of several recent articles in G.I. diseases publishedin leading medical journals. His pre-medical studies were at Columbia and he received a B.A. cum Laude in Economics in 1995. He is board certified in both gastroenterology and pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics and was elected a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics [F.A.A.P.] in 2002. 

Even prior to his gastroenterology training at Mount Sinai, Dr. Kochin was appointed an Instructor and subsequently promoted to Assistant Professor at the Ross University School of Medicine. He has lectured to medical students in Europe and in North America studying for their U.S. Medical Licensing Exams as a faculty member for The Princeton Review. He is currently the Medical Director of Dr. Kochin is a specialist in gastrointestinal illnesses with a strong interest in how immunological factors, including allergic and nutritional choices, affect children’s GI system causing symptoms including abdominal pain, nausea, and constipation. Dr. Kochin is currently on staff at The Mount Sinai Hospital. To schedule an appointment with Dr. Kochin for either the Manhattan or Brooklyn office, please call (718)-338-1313.
